EWTC is pleased to announce the 25th edition of Iran’s leading international Agrofood trade show, taking place in Tehran from June 29th until July 2nd 2018. This unique event was host to 1.405 exhibitors from 39 countries and over 40.000 visitors in 2017.
Iran Agrofood consists of 5 unique exhibitions, each representing a distinct and fast-growing sub-industry. Participation through EWTC’s Holland Pavilions is possible in all respective exhibitions, promising a high degree of exposure for companies, as the pavilions are favorably positioned in each of the halls.
The main topics of Agricultural trade between Iran and the Netherlands in 2017 have been potato (from seeds to processing) and greenhouse construction, resulting in numerous outgoing and incoming missions to and from Iran. 16.000 hectares of greenhouses are being built in Iran during the current five year economic plan (2016-2021).
As a result, EWTC has decided to organize a special horticultural section within the Iran-Agro Holland pavilion of 2018! Increased attention and exposure shall be dedicated to this sector.
Iran is the Middle East‘s leading industrial nation: 16.5 million tons of packaged foods was sold in Iran in 2015 and demand is rising by a projected 3% until 2020.This production is reflected by rapidly increasing demand for food and beverage processing and packaging machinery.
Due to its increased popularity, iran bakery + confectionery will from 2018 on be held as the 5th dedicated trade exhibition next to iran food + bev tec.
Imports of food products have become a major business, with the following food items noting an enormous increase: Meat, ready to eat-meals, tea and coffee, vegetables, milk and cream, fish, non-alcoholic beverages, fruit and vegetable juices, fruit, cereals, chocolate and confectionery, cheese, curd and many others. 4,100 new hotels and thousands of new restaurants will be built until 2022 – Iranian hospitality industry ahead of huge boom.
The growing demand for processed and packaged food and beverages is reflected by the rapidly increasing demand for food ingredients. Iran currently ranks among the three largest sales markets for food ingredients in the Middle East.
Participation within these pavilions is possible at a price of €600,- per m2. (excl. a one-time €395 registration fee and €245 industry portal fee).
A mission voucher can be applied for through the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for participation within these Holland pavilions. This voucher has a maximum value of € 1.500 and is extended under certain conditions as support from the Dutch government.
